New Wine Labels

As part of the Wolfe Heights re-brand, I created all new labels for the 2018–2020 wines. My goal was to create labels that were all different in design, yet cohesive in an overall collection (through the use of gold and large WH logo throughout) so customers would be able to easily find a wine they knew they liked based strictly off of the label. Think about when you’re going into a store and you know you’ve had a certain brand, but you can’t remember whether it was the Cab or the Blend…having a label that is distinct for each wine helps with that.

For almost every label (with the exception fo the Albariño and Cab) I hand drew the design elements and painted the backgrounds. I also wanted to create labels that aligned with the wine type. For example, the idea with the Grenache Rosé was to show a delicately drawn rose, while the Rosé Blend has a “blend” of colors corresponding to the flavor description to make up the background. The Roussanne and Sangiovese (French and Italian style wines) were given hand drawn borders—the Roussanne was inspired by French-style crown molding, while the Sangiovese was inspired by Italian tile work.

New Website’s Blog + Social Media Main Page (not on original website)The blog offers recipes to guests that feature the Wolfe Heights Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I cooked and took photographs of all of the recipes displayed here, but there is also a feature that allows guests to submit their own recipes for a chance to win a prize (coming soon once the website launches).

New Website’s Wedding Planning Timeline (not part of original website)There is a navigation timeline bar at the top for couples to filter where they are in their wedding planning process. The timeline is sectioned off by various “benchmark date” months and most sections feature a drawing for an icon to represent that section of the timeline.

Wine wednesday + Estate Promo Photoshoots—Instagram + Website

*I took over the Instagram account mid-June 2021. We have gained 300 followers so far.

I creative-directed and took photos for our “Wine Wednesday” Instagram posts, as well as the marketing photos for our “Wine Tasting” page of the website. Every Wednesday I would pick a new wine to highlight on Instagram. One of the most important aspects of this ongoing project was to really put the wines in context and show people drinking the wine, enjoying time with friends, and showing off some of the Estate as well (to entice people to come visit). It was important to show the wines in different settings other than just the estate because we want guests/followers to see the wine being enjoyed in more personal settings as well (ie. at home or taken with you on vacation).

Mimosa Sunday Ads—All Social Media Platforms

On the last Sunday of every month, Wolfe Heights hosts a Mimosa Sunday Brunch. Every month there is a new theme featuring a 3-course meal, live music, bottomless mimosas, and wine tasting. The purpose of these ads is to catch the viewer’s attention through imagery that clearly depicts the theme for the given month (every ad features hand-drawn elements).

Wedding Lookbook

The Wolfe Heights Wedding Lookbook was created to give couples who tour the venue a tangible “catalogue” that highlights all aspects of the estate and why weddings here are so unforgettable. Having toured venues myself, I know how exciting it is to share “the one” with your friends and family, and having something physical to hold and flip through to show-off makes much more of an impact than scrolling through photos on a website. The lookbook gives overviews of all the main areas of the venue through the use of both imagery as well as text.

Merchandise Photoshoots—Website

The new Wolfe Heights website included merchandise, which they did not offer before, so there were no photos. I staged photoshoots to display the different merchandise items to show them in context (what their use would be, the size of the items, etc.).
